presidents message:

Hi Everyone.

Well it’s becoming rather easy to write these President’s letters as our shows have been going so well and there have been so few problems to address.

Our July show was somewhat smaller, as many were at the show in Ft. Klamath . However, we had a great time. The cattle, as usual, were good and Ed Murphy did a great job of judging.

Starting with our August show and running through the end of the season, we will have a Never Won A Buckle class. For all those that haven’t won a buckle, here’s your chance.

The Board has selected some very nice awards for the Year End, so keep up the friendly competition. Our Awards Banquet has been set for November 1st at the Clements Feed & Fuel Restaurant.

PRACTICE PEN: Separate practices available at all times. Reservations at the show. The practices are $95.00 and 4 minutes long.

The Clements Cutting Club offers a unique opportunity to our Champion buckle supporters for the 2008 season. For $350.00, we will provide the following advertising opportunities:

We will make a 3' x 5' vinyl banner which will be displayed at each cutting on the inside arena walls.
We will run your business card ad in each of our monthly newsletters.
We will put your ad on our web site.

For $250.00 our Reserve Champion buckle supporters will receive the following advertising opportunities:

Ad Rates for 3 Month Period:

Business Card = $10
¼ page = $25
½ page = $40
1 page ad = $65

In the past, our sponsors donated year-end awards.We changed our format beginning in 2001. In addition to year-end awards in all classes, we have been jack-potting all classes. The members have responded enthusiastically to this change. Our new advertising program reflects another change for the club. The Board of Directors believes it offers a much higher level of visibility for our advertisers.

ccc class rules

Contestants are responsible for determining the eligibility of themselves and their horses to enter any class. Eligibility is based upon points/dollars earned at club cuttings. Monies won in events restricted by age (futurities, derbies, maturities, etc.) shall NOT be counted when determining eligibility.
OPEN	Anyone can ride; a person can ride as many horses as desired.
NON PRO	No trainers. Rider must own horse.
10,000 NOVICE	Anyone can ride; a person can ride as many horses as desired. Horse must not have won over $10,000.
10,000 NOVICE NON PRO	Non Pro rider must own horse; horse must not have won over $10,000.
YOUTH	Must be 18 years of age or younger. May show any horse.
3,000 NOVICE	Anyone can ride; a person can ride as many horses as desired. Horse must not have won over $3,000.
50,000 AMATEUR	Open to any amateurs who have not won over $50,000 as of Jan. 1 of that year. Class conforming to NCHA rules.
3,000 NOVICE NON PRO	Non Pro rider must own horse; horse must not have won over $3,000.
2,000 LIMITED	All riders having lifetime earnings of less than $2,000 at the beginning of the point year. Any horse may be ridden.
500 NON PRO	Non Pro rider must own horse; rider must not have earned over $500.
TWO-HANDED RANCH	May use both hands on the reins. Anyone can ride; a person can ride as many horses as desired, however, monies earned on multiple horses cannot be combined. May show any horse EXCEPT horses previously shown in regular classes.
